Making Creative Aging Possible, Everywhere

WHO WE ARE

Empowering Libraries. Enriching Lives.

What began nearly two decades ago as an early effort to bring creative aging into local libraries has evolved into a growing movement. Today, libraries of every size can access practical resources and proven strategies to help older adults connect, create, and thrive in their communities.

Our Story

Libraries are ready to lead the creative aging movement; they just need the right support. That’s why Lifetime Arts, Wyoming State Library, Missouri State Library, and Califa joined forces to pilot programs that model how state and regional leadership can inspire and equip libraries nationwide.

Our Mission

To empower libraries with evidence-based resources and guidance so they can confidently design and deliver creative aging programs that enrich lives, strengthen communities, and celebrate the creativity of older adults.

OUR PARTNERS

Partnerships Making Impact Possible

This project was a partnership between Lifetime Arts, Califa, and the Missouri and Wyoming State Library Systems, funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Lifetime Arts collaborates with organizations across the aging, arts, and library sectors to ensure every tool and strategy shared here is tested, relevant, and easy to put into action.
